How to get Google Timeline data

Android

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap Location > Location Services > Timeline.
  3. Tap Export Timeline data.
  4. Select a file location (Google Drive or local folder) and tap Save.
  5. Wait for the export notification, then upload the file here.

iOS

  1. Open Google Maps and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Settings, then Personal Content.
  3. Under Location settings, tap Export Timeline data.
  4. On the share sheet, choose Save to Files.
  5. Upload the exported file (location-history.json) here.
